A worn idler lets the track sag unevenly and hop over the tread at high travel speed — both accelerate wear across the entire undercarriage. This idler assy 305.5 353-5578 restores correct track guidance and tension with an OEM-dimensioned tread and sealed bearing assembly.

Compatible Machines
– 353-5578
– 305.5

Why Choose This Idler Assy 305.5 353-5578
– OEM tread diameter and profile — correct chain contact across the full tread width
– OEM shaft and bore dimensions for direct frame bracket fitment without machining
– Sealed oil-bath internal lubrication — no re-greasing required for the service interval

Heavy-Duty Construction
This idler assy 305.5 353-5578 is manufactured using hardened tread surface (induction-hardened or through-hardened to OEM spec) for wear resistance. Face-type floating seal for reliable contamination exclusion in abrasive undercarriage conditions. Internal shaft supported by precision roller bearings for low friction and long service life. Designed to withstand vibration, impact loads, and harsh operating environments commonly found in construction, quarry, mining, and earthmoving applications. Precision manufacturing helps ensure correct fitment and long service life.

Applications
Suitable for a wide range of heavy equipment and undercarriage systems including:
– Excavators
– Dozers
– Loaders
– Track roller assemblies
– Earthmoving machinery undercarriage components

Maintenance Recommendations
– Check internal oil level at every major service — running dry destroys bearings and seals
– Measure tread diameter and compare to OEM wear limit before reinstalling at a service
– Inspect mounting bracket welds for fatigue cracking after long service in hard ground
